This past Fashion week we got to attend NYC-based label, Grungy Gentleman’s Spring/Summer 2015 show. Started by Jace Lipstein; Grungy Gentleman debuted their Spring/Summer 2015 collection during NYFW, with a focal point on tailored sportswear garments. Featuring a lineup of staples, such as pea coats and blazers, each paired with a range of jogger pants in different fabrics. Showcasing a noticeable palette of burgundy, grey and black across the board for Spring & Summer.
One thing I noticed was that even though all these garments were tailored the models seemed to move in them comfortably which is extremely important for menswear. Yes we love our items tailored, but we all want to move and most men don’t move with elegance and grace so it’s quite easy for us to rip an item. In addition to the street awareness, the collection features collaborative items with sports brand Mitchell & Ness, which encompasses a varsity jacket, snapback, beanie and graphic T-shirt. All which can be shopped now on the Grungy Gentleman site. I’m sure Jace was more than ecstatic to work with such a legendary brand such as Mitchell & Ness! Below I picked out three of my favorite looks just so I wouldn’t overwhelm you all.
