Men’s Fashion Week; Rick Owens

Rick2 This is a season of first for our pal Rick! I Say that because this collection features graphics something we never ever see on his clothing. This is a first, and I’m sure it was a definite surprise for those who were so blessed “lucky” to be at this show. Not only did he offer graphics, but a sense of color correct me if I’m wrong, but the only other color I’ve ever seen from Mr.Owens is a military green, and brown. Nothing else, so this is definitely a moment “que Mariah Carey”.

rick22 I must admit, I was so surprised that I didn’t know how I felt exactly I was at a bit of a quandary. I was going back and forth. I looked at the collection like 4 times straight through to see what it was that captured me, and I couldn’t find it.. Wait! The Shoes I found though. Absolutely loved them, but Rick’s shoes are always the highlight. Today however I went back over the collection one more time, and then I fell in love. I guess I needed a minute to get out of what I was accustomed to Rick doing. I greatly appreciate the looks he presented. My top 4 picks would have to be this collage that you see before you. I’m not sure if it’s the oversized tops, with the wide leg shorts, or the shoes that seem to set the whole look off, but I definitely say yes to these! ricck Most may not want to admit it or do they? Rick Owens is such a luxe Grunge brand well that’s how I view it. Am I grunge enough to strut around Soho in Rick? I won’t answer that you do the answering for me, but you don’t really have to.. keep it as a thought. Call me crazy, but I’m still looking for his shoes from last season.. I know I’m late.

  1. This is different for Rick Owens, but I like this as well. It’s refreshing to see him use color a bit but not too much and although it’s actually colors they all very dim keeping close to home

  2. it all has quite a zenon look to it. like something we’d wear in outer space if we lived there. I hope that isn’t a stretch, but that’s what I see.
